e-ENPLO: Αγώνες Φουσκωτών Σκαφών στην Αθήνα 2010

Η τελική 5η αγωνιστική του Πανελληνίου Πρωταθλήματος Φουσκωτών Σκαφών Viper Ribs 2010 πραγματοποιήθηκε στην Νέα Μάκρη το Σαββατοκύριακο 2 & 3 Οκτωβρίου. Αυτή η διήμερη εκδήλωση ήταν καθοριστική για το μέλλον αυτών των αγώνων εφόσον η Αθήνα μπορεί να προσελκύσει ένα πολύ μεγαλύτερο κοινό και αυτή η δραστηριότητα να προβληθεί από περισσότερα μέσα. Οι οργανωτές οι Sea Hawks Rib Club έκαναν μια καλή δουλεία στην προβολή προς το κοινό και κατόρθωσαν να συγκεντρώσουν ένα μεγάλο αριθμό θεατών ιδιαίτερα την δεύτερη ημέρα (Κυριακή) όπου ο καιρός ήταν ζεστός και ηλιόλουστος.

Οι μεγάλοι νικητές Γρηγόρης Οικονόμου και Δήμος Δερτιλής με το Scorpion ST κατέκτησαν τις πρώτες θέσεις στους αγώνες Curcuit και Offshore. The great victors Grigoris Economou and Dimos Dertilis conquered with their Scorpion ST the first places in both the Circuit and Ofshore race.

The final 5th game of the Hellenic Rib Race Championship, Viper Ribs 2010 held in Nea Makri the eastern region of Athens at the weekend 2 &3 of October. This two day event was very important for the future of Rib Races since Athens can attract much bigger audience and this activity can be broadcasted by more media. The organizers Sea Hawks Rib Club (S.H.R.C.A.) did a good job in public promotion and succeeded in gathering a big number of spectators especially the second day (Sunday) where the weather was warm and sunny.

Τέσσερις αντίστοιχοι αγώνες έγιναν φέτος ενωρίτερα στην Ρόδο, την Λέρο, τα Χανιά και την Θεσσαλονίκη κατά χρονική σειρά και συνολικά μαζί με αυτήν την αγωνιστική θα καθορίσουν πιοί θα είναι οι πρωταθλητές. Οι οργανωτές σε όλα τα προαναφερόμενα μέρη είναι Όμιλοι Φουσκωτών Σκαφών και οι αγώνες διεξάγονται σύμφωνα με συγκεκριμένο κανονισμό.

Ο Κώστας Γραμματικάκης και ο Κώστας Σταράκης στέφησαν πρώτοι νικητές στο Circuit. Την δεύτερη μέρα δεν κατάφεραν να τερματίσουν. Kostas Grammatikakis and Kostas Starakis were the first winners of Circuit. The next day though they didn't make it to the finish.

Four similar Rib Races took place earlier this year in Rhodes, Leros, Chania and Thessaloniki in terms of order and together with this game all weight for defining who the champions will be. The organizers in all mentioned places are Rib Clubs and the races are carried out by specific protocol and regulations.

Το Park Ferme είχε διαμορφωθεί στις εγκαταστάσεις του Ναυτικού Ομίλου της Νέας Μάκρης όπου εκεί υπήρχαν η μαρίνα και η γλίστρα επιτρέποντας στα πληρώματα να έχουν άμεση πρόσβαση στο νερό, ένας πολύ σημαντικός παράγοντας για τις δοκιμαστικές πορείες εξυπηρετώντας παράλληλα τους οργανωτές στο να έχουν μια καλύτερη επίβλεψη στην διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης. Οι οργανωτές ήταν πολύ καλά προετοιμασμένοι για αυτούς τους αγώνες και όλα τα μέτρα είχαν ληφθεί επαρκώς και επίσης ένα ελικόπτερο ήλθε για τις εναέριες λήψεις.

The Park Ferme was set at the premises of Nea Makri Club where the marina and the slip were located enabling the crews to have easy and immediate access to water, a very critical factor during the trials and helping the organizers to have a better control over the whole course of the event. The organizers were long well prepared for these races and all measures had be taken sufficiently plus a helicopter came for airborne video and photo shots.

Την πρώτη ημέρα διεξήχθει ο αγώνας circuit (10 γύροι σε μια συνολική απόσταση 1.3 ν. μιλίων) και την δεύτερη έλαβε χώρα ο αγώνας offshore (10 γύροι σε μια συνολική απόσταση 5 ν. μιλίων). Κατά την διάρκεια της πρώτης ημέρας ο καιρός ήταν νεφελώδης αλλά το κοινό στοιχείο και για τις δύο ημέρες ήταν η κυματώδης θάλασσα η οποία ευνόησε τα σχετικά μεγαλύτερα και πιο βαθύγραστρα σκάφη και τόνωσε το ενδιαφέρον του κοινού καθώς τα σκάφη έκαναν θεαματικά άλματα πάνω από το νερό. Από την άλλη μεριά όμως αυτές οι συνθήκες δημιούργησαν μηχανολογικές ζημιές και σε δύο περιπτώσεις οι συγκεκριμένοι αγώνες έπρεπε να σταματήσουν. Η πιο σοβαρή περίπτωση συνέβη στο Banana Shark του Κώστα Κοντογιωργάκη με συνοδηγό τον Νίκο Ταχλιαμπούρη όταν προς το τέλος του αγώνα offshore όλος ο κινητήρας αποκόπηκε από το power lift και έπεσε στο νερό.

The first day the circuit race was held (10 rounds over a distance of 1.3 n.miles) and the second the 50 mile offshore race took place (10 rounds over a distance of 5 n. miles). During the first day the weather was cloudy but the common element for both days was the wavy sea which favored the relatively bigger boats with deeper hulls and spurred people’s interest as the boats were performing spectacular jumps above the water. On the other hand though, these conditions led to damages and mechanical failures and in two cases the races had to stop. The most severe damage occurred to Banana Shark of Kostas Kontogiorgakis with co-driver Nikos Tachliabouris (Leros) when at the end of the offshore race the whole engine broke away from the power lift and fell in the water.

Ευτυχώς, αν και ο κινητήρας βυθίστηκε παρέμεινε ενωμένος με το σκάφος χάριν της συνδεσμολογίας του και ένας δύτης ασφαλείας τον έδεσε πρόχειρα με σκοινί επιτρέποντας στο σκάφος να ρυμουλκηθεί με ασφάλεια ως την γλίστρα και να τοποθετηθεί στο τρέιλερ του. Ο αγώνας offshore διακόπηκε πριν την κανονική λήξη του μετά το συμβάν για λόγους ασφαλείας και μόνο το Top Line 33 του Φιλίππου Γιακουμάκη και Γιώργου Χατζηγιαννάκη (ΡΟΤΑ) ολοκλήρωσε και τον 10ο γύρο.

Fortunately, the engine even sank remained attached to the boat because of its wiring and a rescue diver handily secured it with a line there allowing the boat to be safely towed to the slip and recovered on trailer. The offshore race had to stop before completion after this incident for security reasons and only the Top Line 33 of Phillipos Giakoumakis and George Chatzigiannakis (ROTA- Rhodes) made it up to the 10^th round.

Όπως λέμε ο νικητής τα παίρνει όλα και αυτή ακριβώς ήταν η περίπτωση για το μαύρο Scorpion ST του Γρηγόρη Οικονόμου και του Δήμου Δερτιλή (S.H.R.C.A.) των μεγάλων θριαμβευτών και των δύο αγώνων. Το σύνθημα “the winner takes (it) all” ήταν γραμμένο στην πλευρά της κονσόλας δηλώνοντας την επιτυχία του πληρώματος στην κατάκτηση των πρώτων θέσεων στην κατηγορία Extra Sport. Οι Κώστας Γραμματικάκης και Κώστας Σταράκης ήταν οι πρώτοι νικητές στον αγώνα circuit με το Top Line 31 (ΛΕΡΟΣ) στην κατηγορία Super Sport αλλά δεν κατόρθωσαν να ολοκληρώσουν το αγώνα offshore εξαιτίας μηχανικής βλάβης.

As we say the winner takes it all and this was exactly the case for the black Scoprion ST of Grigoris Economou and Dimos Dertilis (S.H.R.C.A.), the great victor in both races. The motto “The winner takes all” was written in the helm side and showed the crew’s success to win the first places in Extra Sport class. Kostas Grammatikakis and Kostas Starakis were the first winners of the circuit race with their Top Line 31 (LEROS) in the Super Sport class but they were unable to complete the offshore race due to mechanical failure.

Το ίδιο ακριβώς συνέβη στο Μιχάλη Κέλη και στον συνοδηγό του Γιώργο Κολιό (ΡΟΤΑ) κατακτώντας με το Rib Eye 810 την πρώτη θέση στον αγώνα circuit στην κατηγορία Sport αλλά στον αγώνα offshore ακινητοποιήθηκαν από μηχανική βλάβη. Πολύ καλή απόδοση είχε ο Βαγγέλης Σέρρας με τον συνοδηγό του Χρήστο Γκάτσο (ΛΦΣΧ) παίρνοντας και στους δύο αγώνες με το Sea Quest 760 δεύτερες θέσεις στην κατηγορία Extra Sport. Ο Νίκος Λάσκαρης και ο συνοδηγός του Γεράσιμος Βλάχος αγωνιζόμενοι με ένα Apache 23 για την ίδια Λέσχη κατέκτησαν την δεύτερη θέση στο αγώνα circuit στην κατηγορία Sport. Όμως στην διάρκεια του αγώνα offshore ο Νίκος Λάσκαρης αναγκάστηκε να εγκαταλείψει την προσπάθεια του γιατί ο συνοδηγός του τραυματίστηκε ελαφρά σε γερό κτύπημα του σκάφους στο νερό.

Το Top Line 33 του Φίλιππου Γιακουμάκη και Γιώργου Χατζηγιαννάκη. Το μόνο σκάφος που τερμάτισε στον αγώνα Offshore. The Top Line 33 of Philippos Giakoumakis and George Chatzigiannakis. The only boat to finish the Offshore race.

The same thing happened to Michalis Kelis and co-driver George Kolios (ROTA) conquering with their Rib Eye the first place in the circuit race at Sport class but loosing any chance to finish the second day. Great performance was made by Vaggelis Serras and Christos Gatsos (Chania Rib Club) taking in both races with their Sea Quest 7.60 the second place in Extra Sport class. Nikos Laskaris and co-driver Gerasimos Vlachos running with an Apache 23 for the same club in Sport class succeeded the second place in the circuit race. However, during the offshore race Laskaris had to abandon his pursuit because his co-driver was slightly injured due to slamming.

Οι Βαγγέλης Σέρρας και Χρήστος Γκάτσος οδήγησαν γρήγορα το Sea Quest 760 κερδίζοντας τις δεύτερες θέσεις και στους δύο αγώνες. Vaggelis Serras and Christos Gatsos drove fast with their Sea Quest 760 winning the second places in both races.

Το Top Line 21 των Μανώλη Κτιστάκη και Γιώργου Παπουτσάκη (Ηράκλειο) πάντα κατορθώνει να κερδίζει κάποια θέση στη κατηγορία Sport και αυτό έγινε και τώρα. Το πλήρωμα κατάκτησε την δεύτερη και τρίτη θέση στον αγώνα offshore και circuit αντίστοιχα. Το Technohull του Σταμάτη Καλαφατά και του συνοδηγού του Γιάννη Ράπτη (ΡΟΤΑ) ήταν το πρώτο στον αγώνα offshore στην κατηγορία Sport όμως δεν κατάφερε να μπει στην τριάδα την πρώτη μέρα στο circuit.

The Top Line 21 of Manolis Ktistakis and George Papoutsakis (Heraclio) always manages to win a place in the Sport class and that was the case this time as well. They took a second and a third place in offshore and circuit race respectively. The Technohulll of Stamatis Kalafatas and Giannis Raptis (ROTA) was the first at the offshore race on the Sport class but the crew did n't manage to be among the winners at the circuit one.

Οι Κώστας Κοντογιωργάκης και Νίκος Ταχλιαμπούρης κέρδισαν τη τρίτη θέση στον αγώνα circuit στην Extra Sport με το Banana Shark. Το Technohull 777 του Παντελή Πατακιούτη και του Σταμάτη Παριανού (ΝΑΟΚ) και το Sea Quest 760 των Στέργου Καραβόλια και Μιχάλη Κύρη κατέκτησαν τις τρίτες θέσεις στον αγώνα offshore στις κατηγορίες Extra Sport και Spot αντίστοιχα. Τελικά, στην κατηγορία Super Sport η δεύτερη και τρίτη θέση στο αγώνα circuit κατακτήθηκαν από το Technohull 888 του Νίκου Τσουλουχόπουλου και του Γεράσιμου Πετράτου (SHRCA) και το Top Line 33 του Φίλιππου Γιακουμάκη και του συνοδηγού του Γιώργου Χατζηγιαννάκη.

Kostas Kontogiargakis and Nikos Tachliabouris won the third place in the circuit race at Extra sport class with their Banana Shark. The Technohull 777 of Pantelis Patakioutis and Stamatis Parianos (NAOK) and the Sea Quest 760 of Stergos Karavolias and Michalis Kyris (ROTA) conquered the third places in the offshore race for Extra Sport and Sport classes respectively. Finally on the Super Sport class, the second and third places in circuit race were taken by the Technohull 888 of Tsoulouchopoulos Nikos and Gerasimos Petratos (SHRCA) and the Top Line 33 of Phillipos Giakoumakis and George Chatzigiannakis.

Η πιο ανησυχητική στιγμή συνέβη όταν ο Χαράλαμπος Ζαίμης, συνοδηγός του Μιχάλη Γιοβανάκη έπεσε στο νερό μετά από δυνατό πέσιμο του σκάφους τους Top Line P23 σε κύμα που είχε δημιουργηθεί από τα απόνερα προπορευόμενων σκαφών, αλλά ανασύρθηκε με ασφάλεια χωρίς να τραυματιστεί. Όμως οι κριτές σταμάτησαν τον αγώνα (Circuit -Sport) σηκώνοντας την κόκκινη σημαία όπως προβλέπεται από τον κανονισμό των αγώνων σε τέτοια περίπτωση.

Ο Μιχάλης Κέλης και ο Γιώργος Κολιός με Rib Eye 810 ήταν οι πρώτοι νικητές στον αγώνα Circuit. Michalis Kelis and George Kolios with their Rib Eye 810 conquered the first place in Circuit race.

The most worrisome moment occurred when Haralambos Zaimis, Michalis Giovanaki’s co-driver, fell into the water after their Top Line P23 slammed in a wave generated by the wakes of preceding boats but he securely recovered uninjured. However, the coaches stopped this race (Circuit -Sport) raising the red flag as stated by the protocol for such a case.

Όταν τα σκάφη πλησιάζουν πολύ το ένα πίσω από το άλλο ο κριτής δείχνει την μπλέ σημαία. When boats come close behind each other at tuns the coach shows a blue flag.

Οι τελικοί νικητές του φετινού πρωταθλήματος θα ανακοινωθούν επισήμως στο Ναυτικό Σαλόνι της Αθήνας το οποίο θα διεξαχθεί από τις 16 ως τις 24 Οκτωβρίου και η τελετή απονομών θα λάβει χώρα στο περίπτερο της εταιρείας Viper Ribs. Ο Σπύρος Κοτσάμπασης, ιδιοκτήτης της Viper Ribs και μεγάλος χορηγός του πρωταθλήματος έχει προσφέρει ένα 3.60m Rib και η Μοτοδυναμική Α.Ε. την Yamaha 15hp που το συνοδεύει, το οποίο έχει μπει σε λαχειοφόρο που πρόκειται να κληρωθεί επίσης στο Ναυτικό Σαλόνι όπου ο τυχερός ιδιοκτήτης θα το παραλάβει. Άρα λοιπόν όσοι πιστοί φίλοι των φουσκωτών μην αμελήσετε να είστε εκεί.

Ευτυχώς για τον Κώστα Κοντογιωργάκη και τον Νίκο Ταχλιαμπούρη ο κινητήρας τους διεσώθει. Fortunately, for Kostas Kontogiorgakis and Nikos Tachliabouris their engine is secured.

The final winners for this year Championship will be officially announced at the Athens Boat Show which will be held from October 16-24 and an awarding ceremony will take place at Viper Ribs stand. Spyros Kotsabasis, the owner of Viper Ribs had donated a 3.60m Rib mounted with a Yamaha 15hp engine offered by Motodynamics S.A. placed for lottery also to be drawn at Athens Boat Show where the lucky owner will pick it up. So all of you Rib Fans don’t forget to be there!
